Truffle Shuffle on Feb. 10 brought serious folks to Alton Baker Park. They were serious about running, obviously, because the temperature hovered in the low 30s. They were serious about helping veterans, and they certainly did by taking part in Lane County’s oldest running event, now benefitting SVdP veteran programs. Finally, they were serious about getting that coveted Euphoria Chocolate truffle waiting just beyond the finish line.
Thanks to the more than 400 walkers and runners, and more than 120 volunteers who came out for Truffle Shuffle! We couldn’t have done it without our event sponsors, prize donors, and our enduring friends at Eclectic Edge Racing. It was our great honor to have the Color Guard from VFW Post 3965, Sen. James and Loretta Manning, and Commissioner Pat Farr as special guests from the veteran community.
